13 shades of naturally dyed organic Poll Dorset to crochet the plaid featured in the March issue of the French Marie Claire Idées. The colours reflect the rich imagination of the plaid’s designer Cécile Balladino better known as Eclectic Gypsyland.

The kit weighs 720g in total and the 13 shades are dyed with cochineal, weld, madder, indigo, onion skins and oak galls.

The yarn pack includes:

  • 200g of Organic Poll Dorset – Voyage
  • 50gms each of Organic Poll Dorset – Banjo, Lampion, Tango, Frou Frou, Tarot, Madonne and Aventure.
  • 30gms each of Organic Poll Dorset – Gipsy, Jupon, Bijou and Verdine.

Sorry the pattern is only available in this month’s French edition of Marie Claire Idées.

Aiguille en Fete…ca commence demain.

J’ai passé la journée avec mon équipe de choc: Mon mari, Julien et Alexandra, une tricoteuse fidèle a L’Oisivethé à monter mon stand pour Aiguille en Fête. On a commencé avec un stand complétement vide:

et presque 8 heures après:
Ta da! Julien is happy! So am I.

Et je vous laisse avec quelques jolies chose a regarder car je me couche pour être en pleine forme pour demain!

The Lorna’s Laces SoleMate & Soak Kits have arrived!

After being held hostage in customs for three weeks the Lorna’s Laces SoleMate and Soak Heel kits have finally arrived! They are available in shop at L’OisiveThé and online!  These kits feature two new products from two of my very favorite brands! The kit contains:

  • SoleMate is the new sock yarn from Lorna’s Laces! SoleMate is 425yards (398 meters) for 100g. It is made up of 55% Superwash merino, 15% nylon and 30% Outlast. It knits up 7 stitches to the inch on 2.25mm needles. But what is Outlast? OutLast is a fiber technology that continually interacts with the body’s microclimate to moderate temperature from being too hot or too cold. Sounds perfect for socks!
  • Heel is a rich, nourishing foot cream for feet worthy of hand-knit socks.  A unique combination of ingredients restores the skin and soothes tired feet. Cucumber extract, vitamin E and the soothing powers of menthol work together to form a luxuriously rich treat for sock-worthy feet.
